Hello people,

I'm a full-time student in Canada with study permit which said I'm prohibited from working in Canada.
However, I've been doing some my own country's stock market for a pocket money.
I think technically investment of stock market is a sort of work that makes any profit.
In this case, is it illegal ?

Also would it be possible if I invested Canadian stock market as an international student ?

Best regards,

As long as you're only investing your own money (not other people's money) - then yes, this is certainly possible without a work permit.

Yes, you can invest in the stock market with a study permit in the US, as long as it doesn't violate the terms of your visa. Passive income like stock market gains is generally allowed, but actively trading for income or starting a business may have restrictions. Always check your visa conditions.
