Hello Everyone,

Seniors, please advise.

My question is;

1. Can I change my representative? knowing that he i s a member of ICCRC. ( can he make any problems for my case if i cancel his service?)
2. Do I have the right to ask for refund? since he has not done anything. He has just uploaded my case on cic website ( only the step before receiving ITA). Once I received ITA, he is not helpful at all.

Please I need urgent response. I have only 81 days to hire a new representative and submit the documents.

You should have stuck to managing your own affairs if you have trust issues.
You must have signed a contract with the representative, read it and see what you are entitled to and whether you can fire him as your representative or not.
CIC has nothing to do with representative an applicant hires to deal on their behalf.

that is literally what a representative does. you were always going to be in charge of getting paperwork. unless your case is a complex one there was no need to get a representative.
So if that's the reason you're firing him you have to be careful because he did his job. (unless you're referring to something serious)

Thank you for your response.

The reason for hiring him was to make my life easy, I am paying him to assist me in finalizing the papers but unfortunately I am more stressed because of him.
Anyhow, if in case I fire him without paying the remaining 50% of his charges (since he is not helping me). Does he have any authority to influence my case for a revenge?

I do not have trust issues, I want him to help me and that is the reason he was hired.
What is the value of retainer agreement? In case I want to fire him.

like said earlier it as always your job to finalize the paper, to get them and translate them. he shouldn't have any authority but just to be clear if you're gonna fire him just to hire another representative YOU are still going to finalize your paperwork.
