I am not sure if this is the place to ask about the Indian passport renewal but here goes. I had applied for my passport reissue from BLS Vancouver in February. As per the site, I was supposed to get my passport in April but so far the only status in BLS site is 'Processing in Consulate General'. I have been trying to reach them to find out the reason for the delay but all they say is that it is in India for verification. I am worried because I need to renew my work permit as well, which expires the same time as my passport (September).
Is it more useful to go to the Consulate in person to get a clearer idea about why there is a delay? Also, does anyone know is there any other way to track the passport application since BLS//Consulate are not that helpful.
