Can I change conditions on my WP after receiving File#

Hi all
Is it possible to change the conditions on my work permit? I applied for extension in March with Ainp certificate (closed WP) and while waiting I received File# from PR Application. Is it possible to somehow change the conditions and get an Open WP?

You have to wait until you only have 4 months left on the closed WP before you can apply for the BOWP with your AOR.

You can only get a closed WP with just your nomination. You need the AOR from the application to CIC to get an open WP. I have heard of some people getting open WP with just the nomination but I think in some cases they were just lucky and the person approving them either made a mistake or decided to be nice and approve them for the open WP. More people have had there open WP applications denied when they did not have the AOR yet.

I would apply soon for the WP because it takes a while to get it if you have to apply on line. I am not sure if PGWP can get implied status? If you are from a visa exempt country you can just go to the border and they can issue you a WP right there.
