Can I bring Gold while travelling to Canada for the first time on Student visa?

I am travelling to Canada for the first time on student visa, and I was wondering if I can carry gold/silver with me e.g. ring, earrings , nose pin etc. SO my first question is Can I bring these with me? and if Yes then what is the procedure, what documents I need to carry with me?

1. Assuming it is your personal jewelry, there are no additional procedures or documents.
2. Don't try bringing commercial quantities.
