can I apply visitor visa while waiting for PR confirmation?? urgent help

Hi all,

This is my situation and I do appreciate your help in my urgent case.

My PR application is at the final stage when I already paid the PR fee a month ago. My study permit expires end of this July and I have already came back home in Vietnam 3 weeks ago to wait for my PR confirmation so that I can come back to Canada in the near future. However, I just received bad news from my husband living in Canada yesterday that he's got in a serious accident and now staying in the hospital. We don't have any relatives in Canada to take care of him. I'm so worried about his case. All I want now is being with him at this important moment. Can I apply a visitor visa to come and take care of him? I don't know how it will affect my application? How long does it take? What documents do I need??

Really appreciate any advise in my case now.

Sorry about your husband, I hope he's not seriously injured.

You can apply for your visit visa. Explain the situation to your embassy, that you have applied for PR etc. but now you need to go and take care of your husband. You need to tell them that you have no problem returning to Vietnam to continue to wait for your PR once you make sure your husband is ok because they are actually not allowed to give you a visit visa unless they believe you will go back.

My wife are her from january with visiting visa she's come from china and when we ask for visiting visa we ask to the office she come in canada for leave and stay here for ever. The visa office give her the visiting visa in 3 day and dont ask for proof she go return in china. The same to canadian border they see she dont have a plane ticket for return in china.
