Hi,

I have a question regarding Temporary Resident Visa. So I submitted my PR application in Feb. While I'm waiting, I actually got into some graduate program and I applied for study permit. My question is if I want to apply for temporary resident visa after I get my study permit, can I apply for the visa inside canada so that I can go home to visit during summer? If yes, what application form shall I use?

Thank you so much!! :)

Kel

All applications for temporary resident visas must be made from "outside Canada". For applicants in Canada this means, mailing the application to a Canadian Consulate in the US and you can remain in Canada until you receive your passport with the visa. Or you may travel to your home country and apply at a Canadian Consulate there.

For applications being sent to the Canadian Consulate in Buffalo, NY, see application package: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/visa.asp

It is always outside Canada just like the other post said
