Can I apply for Super Visa from within Canada? Leave now and come back later.

My mom is already in Canada and she plans to go back in 4 months, she would have stayed here for 2 years by then( on Visiting Visa, extended till 2 years). I wanted to apply for the Super Visa now from within Canada so she can come back on the Super Visa. Is that possible?

I actually started the application online, on the application there is a question (Q3).

- I am applying for one or more of the following:

a) Extension of my temporary resident status
b) Restoration of temporary resident status as a visitor.
c) Initial temporary resident permit or extension of temporary resident permit.​

I was not sure if I can give a) since she cannot extend anymore as she has been here for 2 years already.

Please do let me know if she can apply from within Canada, and what should I select in the 3 option above.

Seems you are confused, when is her Supervisa expiring? if it is expiring before she comes back then she needs to apply for supervisa again. If it is still valid, you need to do nothing.

Sorry, I should have been a little more clearer. My mom is at present here on Visiting Visa, not SupernVisa. We plan to apply now for Super Visa.

Supervisa can only be requested from outside Canada.

Just to add to Jalex23's reply: Your mom should remain in her home country for some months/ maybe 6-8 months before she applies for a super visa as she has already stayed in Canada for two years
