Can I apply for express entry and then leave my current job for another?

So i am working in a company for 1 year, I want to apply for my PR and then quit this place.

Can I do this or do I have to stay here until the PR process is done.

That's fine as long as you're not claiming the 50/200 points of having a valid job offer.
