Can i apply for biometrics before my visa ?

Hi,

I am an international student planning to study in Canada. I am planning to apply for visa, i had seen many giving their bio-metrics only after applying their visa .

My question is :
Can i give my bio-metrics even before applying for visa because i may reduce my visa application processing time ?

You can only give biometrics after visa. However you can book the appointment for giving biometrics before applying for the visa. Just remember, it will take one working day on average to get the biometric request letter that you need to submit your biometrics. So, plan your appointment taking that into account.
