Can I apply for a visa few months before my resumption date?

Please I was recently denied a visa against may this year and I wanna reapply again in July against January 2018 session,so my question now is can I do that and get my visa this year and travel in September and work before school resumes in January ?

You can reapply any time that you want but maybe if you share why you were refused then forum members maybe able to feedback any changes you might need top make with your application.

As for working you cannot work until your classes start in January anything else would be illegal work so if you travelled in September you would need funds to support yourself Sept through January

You can apply anytime and you can travel in September as well after you get your visa but your work permit would be invalid until the beginning of your classes.

Their reasons where travel history,purpose of visit and financial status and assets.
Although my dad is my sponsor and the financial status was very very ok and travel history..I have not traveled out before and purpose of visit was to study so I dunno what they mean and what they wd want me to change.
So the forum members can give me feedback on the changes I might need to make. Thanks
