Hello there

This is my 1st ever post on this forum. I was hoping to get some advice. I am turning 36 years old this year and currently single (female). I am interested in applying for a post graduate diploma or 2-year Masters program to a college or university in Ontario. I have tried to apply through Express Entry previously but never had enough points (because of age, I'm just a graduate & low IELTS score of 7.5). Even my visit visa application to see my siblings has gotten rejected twice. I am currently working in Dubai since a year, and like many others I want to move to Canada. The organisation I'm working for, is downsizing, and I feel I'm going to be next.

I would like to know if anyone has ever applied and managed to get a student visa at the age of 36? I consulted an immigration consultant a couple of years ago based in Mississauga and they outright denied applying for a student visa saying that it won't get approved a) because of my age, b) because they know I've applied through Express Entry which means I want to move there.

So, I'm hoping to get some real life advice from people who've had success on this path, if at all.

Thanks for reading!

Yes, of course. I’m 43 and got a study visa to study a master program at the U o Regina (Fall 2023) with 2 CWP refusals + 1 study permit refusal before. Just a little bit worried about your EE application.
