I'm hoping someone can help me !
My IEC visa expires on the 11th April. I obtained a BCPNP and applied for PR in January 2016 though this was through the FSW stream and not EE. I received an AOR in April 2016. Still waiting for them to ask me for a medical.
I want to apply for a BOWP and I seem to match all of the requirements apart from this which I am not sure on, so I think there is a chance that my application for a BOWP may be rejected:
have completed one of the following APR stages:
their electronic application for permanent residence (e‑APR) submitted under Express Entry has passed the R10 completeness check; or
they have received a positive eligibility assessment on their paper APR submitted by mail under one of the economic classes above;
My AOR wording does not mention that I am eligible, only that my application is considered complete. In MyCIC it reads 'Not Started' for Eligibility check . Apparently the AOR letter wording is different for the FSW so I may actually still be eligible but I am not sure. My original BCPNP letter states that I am not tied to any employer.
So I recently applied for and received a BCPNP support letter . I believe I can use this at the border to obtain a Closed WP but tied to my employer.
Question :
If I apply right now for a BOWP, and cross the border to obtain a Closed WP in April, but the BOWP response is rejection - does that mean that I can no longer work in Canada until my PR comes through ?
e.g. will the BOWP answer override my closed work permit?
