I am Canadian and am sponsoring my common-law partner. My common-law partner is Belgian; Belgium has 3 national languages (Dutch, German, and FRENCH). Thus, he was able to obtain some of his documents in French (birth certificate and police certificate). The other documents are in English (either naturally or translated).

The federal cover page that certifies that the birth certificate is authentic is in all languages (french, dutch, and german) but the actual birth certificate is in dutch so we have it translated into English by a certified translator.

IS THIS OKAY?!
Has anyone else done this?

Perfectly fine. Both French and English are the official languages of Canada, so documents in BOTH languages are fine.
