can distance education diploma count as 16 years of education?

HI all!

I am a b.com graduate (regular). As my education is of 15 years (10+2+3), can i take up a PG diploma course from IGNOU (Indira gandhi National Open University), and will that make my education equal to 16 years? So that i can then apply for Master programs which require 16 years of education.

Please help seniors and other forum members because somewhere it is written that UGC approved universities are recognised, but on other websites it is written that distance education is not counted towards 16 years of education, from any university.

Please help, i am pretty much confused. Please

Thanks, but forgot to mention that it us a Distance learning program.

Yes it is counted as sixteen years of education just let me know which program you are planning to apply for..

I have got offer letter from NAIT, but that is a undergrad diploma, so i think i should not file visa as my rejection rate would be high as i have already done my graduation(15 years).
I will now take up a 1 year distance learning PG diploma and then apply next year for any Masters degree in some University, that is what i have thought about.

If you have any other suggestion please do suggest me.
