Hi All,

- Once reached to Canada after getting PR stamped, Is dependent spouse is free do job or to do business or may be doing nothing, (my spouse is more interested setting up business than doing job so he may be idle for some time in the beginning, is it having any implication getting citizenship) Pls explain in detail.

Thanks again for all ur support throughout.

Yes he can and this does not affect his citizenship in anyway as long as he satisfies the minimum number of days in Canada to apply for citizenship

as newly landed PR, are we allowed to sell some goodies, foods like cookies , cakes etc...?

Check local regulations and laws before you do this...

All PR's are equal, that means newly landed or PR for 30 years, principal applicant or dependent. Under the law, there is no difference. As a PR, you have all the same rights as a citizen in Canada except that you can not vote and there are some government jobs you can not get.

You have the same right to open a business as everybody else but of course you have to follow the same law as everybody else, apply for licenses, pay taxes etc.

excuse me ;D...might be this is not regarding to the topic...

Is it neccasary to be a PR to establish your business in canada,,,???
i am on work permit just want to open my Spa salon is it possible to do without PR? ::)

I am not 100% sure on that but I think you can't because a work permit is given out with a very specific purpose in mind and that is to work for that particular employer in that particular position. You can not even study alongside being on a work permit. It doesn't make sense that you would then be allowed to run a business on the side. You can phone CIC and ask about that.
