Hi All,
Currently I'm on Student Permit which is going to expire in next month. We got PR invitation (my husband as primary applicant and I'm on dependent on PR application) under CEC.
I have read online that I can't apply for BOWP as I'm not a primary applicant on our PR application and only primary applicant can apply for a BOWP. But I have read on below CIC source where it says " If You're a family member who has been included on an application for permanent residence". So I may be eligible to apply for a open work permit based on the PR application and positive assessment.
CIC source: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/work/apply-who-permit-result.asp q1_options=1i&q2_options=2c&q3_options=2c_v
Any one who had been in same situation or have any idea how to proceed with this ? it would be great. Also, please confirm I need to do separate application or still I can do 1 single application under my husband's BOWP and add my open work permit on same application? Detailed process would be great if some can share with their past experience.
Thanks
