All,

I got my COPRs for me (I am principal applicant) and my family. I visited Canada last month alone and completed my landing formalities. Now, I need to take my family to Canada to complete landing formalities but came to know that I need to have travel document to travel back to Canada. Since I dont have time as our PR visa is expiring soon, so can my family travel alone to Canada to complete landing formalities?

Has anyone done that or experienced any issues in it?

Yes - they can travel and land alone. As long as the principal applicant has landed first (which you have) - they will be fine.

Thanks a lot scylla,

I am searching the whole CIC website but couldnt find this info. I have very small baby so just want to send them with the printout of the website page where it is mentioned to avoid any trouble to them. Please let me know if this is available in any page or FAQ?

You don't need any FAQ or photocopied page. BSO know the rules and they can see on the system that you, as the principal applicant has already "landed"

Jattz;

CIC has sent you some papers to let you know the landing process along with COPRs. You can find what scylla said within it. The dependents should travel with main applicant or after him/her. Therefore, fortunately your family won't face any trouble. They need to bring their COPRs and Passports.
