Can Citizenship Card replaces Birth Certificate

Hello, please help.

I plan to get marry to a Vietnamese person in Vietnam. One of the paper required before allowing a valid marriage is my birth certificate. I lost my birth certificate, because I was a boat people escaped Vietnam 27 years ago. Could I use my certification of Canadian citizenship in its replacement ?

You are asking about Vietnam law on a Canadian immigration website? I think you are in the wrong place. One tip though, ask in Vietnam if you can get a copy of your birth certificate. In many countries, it's fairly easy to get a copy of b/c.
