We are now debating NOT travelling this friday to Jamaica due to my expired PR card (which I realized yesterday).
I went to the Harry Hays building in Calgary today only to find Citizenship and Immigration closed.
I plan to return tomorrow in the hopes that there is SOMETHING they can do to help. I have heard from someone in a similar situation who had success.
Going to Kingston for a temp travel document twice doesn't seem feasible. But as a last resort I may do that also. Does anyone have any experience with this?
I have a letter of employment with me, Marriage certificate, childs birth certificate, copy of mortgage. My wife still does not want to take our chances when returning to Canada.
Can anyone offer any other suggestions? I am a UK citizen here since 1978.
