Can CIC refund?

If you change your mind, would CIC refund your money? My husband paid the entire $1200. It'd be nice to get it back.

The fees are only $1040, so if he paid $1200, he screwed up somewhere.

Sponsorship application $75
Principal applicant fee $475
Right of Permanent Residence Fee $490

Total $1040


The first fee is non-refundable.

If you withdraw prior to sponsor approval, you will receive the $475 and $490 fees back.

If you withdraw after sponsor approval when they've started processing the applicant's side of things, you will receive only the $490 fee back.
