Can change of specialisation cause student VISA rejection

Hi,

My cousin has done Bachelors in Technology (B. Tech.) from India (4 year bachelors degree). Now he wants to pursue PG diploma or Graduate course in Digital Marketing.

Will change of specialisation cause VISA rejection? He has done 3 months certificate course in Digital Marketing in India already and worked for 3-4 months in this field. Secondly, after B. Tech., he was preparing for competitive exams so has a gap of 4 years, will it affect VISA possibility?

If he can adequately explain the change in specialization, it won't cause a problem. If a visa officer doesn't believe explanation, it will cause a problem.
