Applying for a Visitor Visa to Canada. Have a valid multi-entry 10 year USA Visa, and a recently expired Canadian multi-entry visa with multiple trips to both countries over the last 10 years.

On the immediate next trip to Canada will be staying with Family, does that mean despite applying under the CAN+ program I still have to arrange all inviter related information (listed below) when applying? Or do you simply skip this when applying under CAN+?

Letter of invitation from the inviter indicating the purpose and duration of the visit;
• A list showing the number of people in the inviter’s household;
• A copy of the inviter’s immigration status or citizenship documents;
• Proof of inviter’s income and financial situation including but not limited to Notice of Assessments (NOA), employment letters, pay stubs, bank statements;
• If the inviter is a student, a letter of acceptance or good standing from the school.
• If visiting family, proof of relationship with the inviter in Canada (examples: copy of birth certificate, copy of marriage certificate, etc).

CAN+ is only a request to expedite the processing of the TRV application. Recently, CAN+ apps have been processed in about the same time frame (or maybe slightly faster) than regular processing.

While fewer financial documents may be submitted, it is advisable to consider the new application as a regular TRV app from scratch: Invitation letter + evidence of ties to the home country + genuine purpose of visit + good financial situation (won't hurt).

If you don't have a Canadian host/relative, you could apply as a tourist. You'll need to include provisional hotel bookings + detailed day-by-day itinerary with expense estimates.... and prove that you have the financial resources to afford the visit (implying the *fewer* financial documents situation won't apply)
