Hi, Varsha here...
I have 6.5 years of work experience in Human Resource management and in feb 2018 I have changed my work stream from HR to IT, currently working as IT consultant. I want to pursue a PG diploma or 1 year master degree in Business analyst/information system from Canada. I have checked with a few sources and learned that having such a long study gap n 7 years experience, Canadian university will not accept my application for admission , also Canada student visa will not be approved by immigration team. Kindly suggest if this information is correct or I can plan to give ielts academics for university admission in Canada.
Seeking prompt reply pls.
Thank you for your support.

Ok. So the work gap alone is not a problem. What you need to show is following:

1. Whatever requirements are for the study program you have chosen - that is for University or College.
2. And that you will be genuine student - that is for immigration.

First is mostly paperwork, English / French knowledge or other things as requested.

Second is the admission to the study program and they need to see some consistency (that you choice makes sense when it comes to your professional improvement and that it is not just a way how to get into Canada).

Mind, that there are also programs that are tailored for professionals with work experience already that would like to enlarge their knowledge and climb career ladder (mostly MBA) or that would like to get involved into more scientific research (mostly PhD).
So first you need to find a suitable program for you. Good luck.
