I know that it is a NOC C occupation but what if there is a similar occupation on a higher NOC scale and your employer is ready to confirm your duties? Can a person still qualify?

LOL, not sure what you're asking, icecool...

First, what kind of work permit do you have?

Are you asking, can you qualify if your boss lies on your behalf? I would say, no, you still don't qualify, even if you do get away with it.

Or are you asking, does "job title" matter if your duties match a different NOC? The job duties are supposed to be the basis for the assignment of an NOC, not the job title. But there are some C-level occupations like yours where there is a higher level NOC with similar duties... you have to really understand the differences between the two NOCs and be sure that the higher-level one is truly appropriate. Even then, it seems that CIC has been pretty tough on such cases...

I havent started working yet, but in not long time I will be eligible to work under the post-graduate work permit after my graduation. Like other people I want to stay in Ontario after my 2 year(16month) diploma and as I will be gettinga 3 years work permit, I would like to use it in Ontario to apply for CEC. But the only job I am gonna get as a international graduate with limited work experience would be of admin assistant etc..I guess the best thing for me is to move to Saskatchewan without wasting any time to look for work in Ontario as the criterio for SNIP is much much easier than of CEC...Thanks for the help though, I dont think I can stay in Ontario :'(

I think it does. but that also depends what your job title is exactly and what job duties are at work. good luck!
