Hi Forum Members and Seniors,

I know it may be very common question but somehow I couldn't find a valid answer of it online. Here's my situation -
I am a PR who wants to invite my friend to Canada on TRV. I have given him the letter of invite detailing my credentials and all information stating that I will take care of him once he's here. He, however, is not sure about the process and wants me to apply TRV on his behalf. He visited few consultants who told him that I need to proceed application from my end for this. He will still need to get his Biometrics done from his home country which he will do once the application is moved from here.

So my question is simple -
Can a PR or Citizen, who is living inside Canada, apply for a TRV of someone who is living outside Canada? If so, what are the things I need to take care of?

You can apply on his behalf and he will have to sign off with as his representative. There is a form. It is still processed from country where your friend is residing even with you applying on his behalf.

Can you please provide more detail on it. Which form are we talking here? Are you referring to apply on someone's behalf as their representative? Just like consultants or Immigration Laywer do?
