My friend got his PR confirmation and he is planning to do the soft landing with his family and come back after one month to his home country. He has to settle few personal things in his home country and planning to move to Canada after one year permanently. He is working in the IT field.
Can he find a job online and work for a Canadian employer remotely?

Yes, he can definitely do that.

He should be aware that any time he spends working for the Canadian employer outside of Canada will not be counted towards the 730 day residency requirement. However otherwise there's no issues with this and he's free to do so.
