My friend will come to Canada for a two-week stay (as what will be reflected in her ticket). We are wondering if there's a possibility that her passport will get stamped for a 6-month stay though her ticket is clear that she'll be leaving after two weeks. What's your opinion on this? Or does anybody here had experienced this?

They will only give a 6 mth stay if they're confident that she's a genuine visitor and that she is capable of staying that long. If they're not satisfied, they could even shorten your intended stay or send you home. Getting a TRV approval doesn't always mean you will get the duration of stay you asked for when you arrive in Canada.

To solve the problem of wanting to stay longer than your original intended stay (if they permit you), buy tickets from companies that charge a low fee when changing return date. That way, if you luckily get a 6 mth stay, you can change the return date to one which is 6 months later. Also, this has the added benefit in the event the officer wants to shorten your stay, and you can change the date to an earlier date with little penalty.
