Calling immigration for status updates without AOR

Hey all, has anyone tried to get a hold of immigration to get an update for their application? I haven't received an AOR and I am getting impatient as it seems a lot of people who submitted after me are getting them. I just want to ask if they know if it's been returned?
They don't seem to have an option to get a hold of w human

You are banging your head against a brick wall. Unless and until you have an application number, your case isn't on their system and they will not wade through piles of case files to try to find yours. Have you checked your email junk or spam folders?? Are you using a representative (if so, they will communicate with them not you)?

How long have you been waiting? 8 - 12 weeks is not unusual. If you are less than these timescales, settle in and wait, cases are not always processed in the order you think they might be.

Your only option is to keep calling the CIC help desk number. They get a lot of calls - so try different times of the day and hopefully you'll reach a live agent at some point.
