Call to submit passport and passport expires in less than six months

I have made an application for Permanent Resident in Dec-14 and my wife is main applicant. We have received the email on 18-03-16 from CIC warsaw to submit our passport for visa stamping within 30 days.

However my passport is expiring on 21-09-16 which is now less than six months validity. I have applied for renewal of my passport and appointment date is 31-03-16.

My concern is how do I inform CIC warsaw and get this done legally as per immigration law. I need visa on new passport.

Where exactly you are from...? If you are from india and as per your post your appointment for passport on 31st March, you will get your passport within 7 days.

Yes I am from India . Even if i get passport within 7 days the passport number will be new and I guess CIC warsaw should be informed??

we have the same issue minus the fact that cic hasnt asked for my passport.

Scenario:
Submitted my papers with old passport last feb 10 2016 and last march 16 2016 renewed my passport and received AOR, March 21 receive SA approval,now waiting for my papers to be checked including my passport
with expiry of oct 2016

So i'll wait for your resoln. One forum thread says once my passport comes, i need to submit new copy hehe

Hi, if you get new passport your old passport number already mentioned in new one and you can submit a new one.
