Usually the embassy calls you to confirm your details about your job experience or in some cases, to discuss details about your financal status

I would suggest to put a CSE apologizing about not being able to pick the call, citing some valid reason and asking politely the reason for the call and requesting them to call you again. May be they want to discuss or ask something important which they could not do because you did not pick up the phone. If they call you again, be careful this time. Thanks
