Last week my employer had received a call from CIC and they've asked information about me and today I got call from the same person enquiring about my job it's requirements and other information.

Is this normal and legit, has anyone got calls like this please let me know.

They rarely call employee; however, sometimes they do call employer. If they have called, it means you would receive the outcome soon.

Do you have an application in for a work permit extension? New work permit? When you complete the forms for a work permit, there is a section where you agree to be contacted by CIC if they have any queries.

I got a new work permit in Oct 2014 but there is nothing under process now
