Call CIC to reactivate my profile?

Can CIC do anything to manually re-activate my EEprofile?
I updated my EE profile (I changed my NOC to something closer to my job roles) and I received a "profile ineligible" message and the the system immediately dumped my entry without giving me a chance to fix it.
I didn't see anything about this in the CIC help center QnA.

Normally I would just re-create my profile but I had a PT letter in my old profile and I was planning to respond to it. If I recreate my profile, there is no guarantee I will get another PT. Also, I only have a few weeks left to send in my PNP documents.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

This is terrible. Yet another reminder for members that fiddling around with any part of your profile without understanding the larger consequences is fraught with risks.

So far, CIC has maintained radio silence on activating ineligible profiles. You can try reaching out to CIC at CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca but I imagine that you won't have any more success than most others who have tried this earlier.

Recommend that you reach out to the province who sent you the PT and ask them if they can transfer your PT to a new EE profile. Simultaneously, create another EE profile and try to somehow link that with your previous profile or ask for CIC support in doing that.

All the best!

Thanks Asivad.

So you don't know of anybody who has managed to re-activate their EE profile?

Can you explain further about what you mean by "try to somehow link that with your previous profile or ask for CIC support in doing that"? I plan to call both CIC and the provincial immigration office once they open.

It's quite frustrating they didn't warn me that updating my application will cause this to happen.

Exactly the same thing happened with me. My profile had PT nomination, I changed the NOC (without making necessary changes to detailed experience first) and my profile became ineligible. Just like that. I created a new profile within the same GC Key and emailed Opportunities Ontario, informing them of the whole scenario and asking if they would associate the PT nomination with the new EE profile number. They said it was not possible, however I could use the same nomination with new EE profile. Here's the email for your reference:

Dear Sir/Madam,

This refers to your correspondence of June 22, 2015.

If you meet the criteria and have received the PT you may apply. You may use the current PT to apply to Ontario Express Entry if you still meet all the requirements. If your circumstances change while your nomination application or PR application is in process you need to inform PNP or CIC.

Sorry buddy, but CIC will not reactivate the old EE profile which has become inactive.

I forgot to mention that after creating the new EE profile, I received a fresh PT nomination as well within 3-4 days.

Hi prana,

Its encouraging to know that I'm not the only one who faced this before.

"They said it was not possible, however I could use the same nomination with new EE profile."

When you said this do you mean that they just happened to reissue you a new PT but they cannot transfer the previous PT to your new profile?
Or did they re-send a new PT after informing them of your unfortunate circumstance?

Sorry for not being clear. Here's the first email from OOPNP:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hello XXXXX,

Thank you for your email. Unfortunately, we are unable to reassign the notification of interest under E000XXXXXX to your new EE Profile under E000XXXXXX.

You may consider contacting Citizenship and Immigration Canada to request that your previous EE Profile be restored. Please be reminded that you would still be required to file your application to the OOPNP within 45 days of the original notification of interest.

Alternatively, if your new EE Profile demonstrates eligibility under the OOPNP, you may receive a notification of interest in a future round of invitations.

Please be reminded that if your address or other contact information has changed since the submission of your application, a Change of Personal Information form must be provided.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In there second email ( the one I attached earlier), they suggested I go ahead with the same PT nomination. Luckily I got a PT nomination in my newly created profile as well. I suggest you do the same:
1) Write to OOPNP. Mention your old as well as new EE profile number. Explain your situation and ask if it is OK to use the current PT notification to send your application.

ALL the BEST.
Feel free to ping me if you need any further clarification.

Regards,
PRANA

Thanks for the second email,prana.

I just got in contact with the CIC call center. They said they don't have any information about Express Entry other than what's on the website and I should use the case specific inquiry to ask them to re-activate my previous profile. But that seems unlikely at this point. I'll still give it a try and ask them about it and also ask OOPNP to see if I can apply with my old nomination.
