Calgary Citizenship Office Update

Hi

Me and my brother applied for citizenship last year in December. Today we received the fingerprints request for my brother and I found that our file is finally in Calgary Office, even though there is no official update on CIC. Below is the timeline.

Application Received - December 20th, 2011
Application in Process - November 5th, 2012
Fingerprint Request - January 28th, 2013

I think you mean Dec 20, 2011 for application received right? Calgary is one of the local offices that will sometimes schedule same day test and oath so you may be lucky once your FP request is processed.

Thanks for response. Yeah the application year is 2011, my bad.
BTW do we get update after in process status on ecas. Like do we get to know when our file reach Calgary office.

Ecas is not reliable sometimes you receive mail at your address and then a notice about the mail shows up on ecas...many have missed their tests or oath due to this. CIC really should fix ecas and expand its functionality as this would cut down on the people calling the contact centre daily for updates. At the moment ecas has an issue with its authentication/ security certificate...go figure!!

Yeah I noticed that security certificate is expired. I guess they are upgrading their website. Hopefully they might end up fixing ecas. Thanks.
