Hello everyone,

I have 1 year of qualified experience (NOC B) and would like to submit my profile in the pool for express entry. However, I have completed 1560 hours Including 10 days of vacation outside of canada. I wonder, does the hours paid during my vacation spent outside of canada count for the calculation of the 1560hours that we have to do when we apply under the Canadian experience class?

Thank you very much for your answers :)

Yes, they do count. Vacations are a part of your job and you get paid. You can spend that time either in Canada or anywhere in the world, it depends on you.

Paid vacation counts as employment, yes.

If you work full-time (30 or more hours per week), you do not count hours, you simply need to work for one year (52 weeks).

They do count, for instance in my Case I applied a week after I had completed my 1 year experience. I had taken 19 days off during that year. (15 vacation, 4 floating) and had 4 trips out of Canada of 13-15-4-9 days o duration correspondingly (some included stat holidays as well as time worked remotely + weekends).

I had close to 2000 hours (not including vacation) worked when I applied.

I have not yet received my PR but my eligibility was already passed.

Paid vacation counts as employment, yes.
