Hi,

I recently requested for CAIPS file and am not able to understand the line "PAPER FILE SENT TO DJH FILE BF'D TO: HSD ON XX-XX-XXXX".

Googling narrowed it to two options:
1) File was sent to VISA office named DJH for review, and a person whose initials are HSD will look into it on XX-XX-XXXX.

OR

2) File was sent to person whose initials are DJH, and some action (like interview etc.) will happen on XX-XX-XXXX.

Basically I don't know if DJH is a visa office or initial of a person. Similarly I don't know if HSD is some action or initial of a person.

Thanks,
MathCanada

You are correct. But BFD (date) is not for interview. It is for review of the officer HSD. (initials of the officer concerned)

wilson,

he got the interview letter? why the interview will be for?

Hi jnathan, thanks.

If there is interview it could be for any or some of the following:

1.to ensure the accuracy of the information contained in the documentation submitted;
2.to clarify issues relating to his background; .
3.to confirm whether he/she possesses the necessary means to settle in Canada;
4.to verify the absence of security in-admissibilities;
5.to ensure the applicant is intending to enter the Canadian labour market;
6.to verify whether there are sufficient grounds to exercise positive discretion; etc. or :D :D coud be possibly anything that is not mentioned here
