CAIPS FILE: FILE TO REVIEW ON 10 MARCH 2010/ Qorex pls. help

I just received my Caips file,( I applied in dec 2004 CHC ND,) it says BFD 10 March 2010, so when shall i expect any corroespondence from CIC.

It means that the Visa officer will open your file on 10th March 2010, actually he would have checked it already. Share more CAIPS details to that we can help you.

Like Rocky said, that BF'D of 10-Mar was the the day your VO reviewed your file. He must have noted some requirements or might not. In case he had, u should have got a response by now, or should be on the way. But, on your CAIPS front, if u provide some more info, we may be able to deduct something further.

This means: No Action... absolutely No Action has been done on your case file, as of yet. That BF'D was 'only' a std 'case forward' date. Probably on that date your file has come out of the 'queue'. Now onwards it's 'processing' should commence.

I'm afraid, there's yet a long way to go. Which CHC r u? It might be wise to 'reapply' again under the 'fast track' if u r in the 38 list.

Your file is in Que for assessment. Once the assessment will be made then processing will start.

Correct i am CHC New Delhi, applied in 02-12-2004, sent updated documents in Jan 2009, after almost 5 and half years, they are just going to make assessment, then how long will it take , i am afraid, i donot fall in 38 priority list, i will have to wait & watch, how long do you think it will take now. More over i am in Merchant navy & have been to no. of countries while sailing on ship, so it may take extra time for check, what you suggest.

Yes Mahendra, if u r not in the 38 list the only recourse is to wait & watch. From coming out of the queue, usually [repeat, usually] the case would take another 1.5-2 yrs.

The next thing u can expect is a letter asking whether u want to continue or not. That is if u haven't already recd that letter.

Thereafter, CHC will ask u for some docs update. Then the meds... & so on.

Sorry mate I do not have any good news for you. Delhi has not even finalised Dec 2003 cases and not even started to process 2004 cases. Your caips notes show that no action has been taken yet on your file. 2004 July onward applicants have found similar caips notes ie no processing. Delhi has increased time line for old applicants 75 months for initial assesment (ie when you will see some thing on your caips notes) and finalisation 80 months (if of course delhi does not increase it further).

In November 2008 , CHC ND has already sent me a leeter asking whether i want to continue or not & asking for updated documents which i sent in Jan 2009, it is almost 14 months after that. (I had applied in 2-Dec-2004).
