CA VISIT VISA APPLIED THRU VAC-NY

I am a H-1B visa holder living in the US and applied for a Canada Visit visa to visit toronto to get my H1-B visa stamped.

I applied by walk-in to the VAC in NY and submitted my application papers. The VAC representative then entered my info into the system. The application was received by the Consulate in New York on March 29. I still have not received any update.

Has anyone been in a similar situation? Normal processing time is about 17 days, for me it has been 3 months!! The VAC number takes you to a call center which isnt very helpful as they are not located in the VAC-NY. I always get a robotic response that they will send a "report" to investigate. I have yet to figure out what this report is or where it goes.

Note this is not my first time applying for a foreign visa and I have never been denied or delayed any visa until now. I have never been so disappointed with a visa application!!

I am in the similar situation. I too am on H1B. I applied for visitor visa via online process on april 19th and still havent heard from them. My boy friend applied on the same day (he is also on H1B) and his got processed within 10days. I tried to call, submit a technical report but not helped. I am not sure what to do.
