You mean like the actual photographs of your face? I don't know, you should check the document list after you complete the questionaire. There should be a question mark next to digital photo, it will tell you the exact dimensions and instructions.

I mean photos to prove your relationship to your sponsor and spouse

Since you're married, all you need to show is your marriage certificate. You don't need to show pics of you guys dating, hanging out, etc like with a PR application. If the certificate is not in English or French it will have to be translated.

No, the checklist does not ask for personal photos of you guys together, just proof of relationship (meaning proof of marriage, common-law, whatever, etc)

How about this. My mom is inviting my wife and i to stay with her as i live here in mexico now with my wife and not in canada. should we send some photos of my wife with my mom?

I'm not familiar with parents applying for their kids. Fill out that online questionnaire pretending to be your mother and see what the document checklist shows.

no what is happening is i am a canadian citizen but living in mexico and a non resident of canada so i don't think i can invite my wife to go with me to canada i think it's easier for my mom to invite my wife and of course me to stay with her in canada. what do you think? or can i just invite my wife to go to canada with me even though i don't have a place to live there now?

Sorry, I wouldn't know whether your chances are better if your mom invites or you invite yourself. Maybe someone here knows more about it, good luck
