I have a friend who wants to buy a place in BC, but government just released the law saying that foreign buyers now need to pay 20% more if they want to buy even in Chilliwack.
He can become a Nominee but he is not sure if he will be in Canada in 2 years and what would happen if he won't receive a PR? Would government charge him 20% because he didn't commit to getting PR?
