Hi Experts !!
Applied Paper based application on May 4'2017 at VFS NEW DELHI .

I have applied for Business TRV for 10 days . Actually I applied for myself , my father and my mother . All three of us are a part of our company owner by my mother.

We are going there to purchase some goods .

I have an extensive travel history of USA/UK/Europe/Asia/ etc..... My father & mother have travel history of only UK & Asian countries though my mother also holds a valid Australian Visa till September 2017 but she hasnt visited yet.

We have submitted an invitation letter also along with the application.

The only concern is the bank statement .Though the statement does show lot of credit and debit entries , also showing payments sent abroad but at the time of statement closing date the bank balance was not good .... We also submitted property papers , IEC certificate, proforma , proof of advance sent to supplier but funds available in account not good at all on statement date ....Will it lead to a refusal or will they consider that business accounts are bound to go up and down ..?

Hi,

It seems like you have missed out on submitting a number of documents + explanations.

1. Are you business partners of the same company? Or is the company owned by your mom while you and your dad are employees?

2. Did you include company tax returns + Balance sheet/audit reports, etc?

3. Company registration documents?

4. Did you draw up a list of expected payments + expenditures for the next 2-3 months to prove that you have the funds to pay for your visit?

5. Did you include personal bank statements for each applicant?

6. Did you include evidence of your business association with the Canadian company?

7. Does the purchase from the Canadian company require all three of you to visit Canada?

Cheers

Hi Bryanna,

Thanks for your quick response .. pls find my answers below ....

1: The company is owned by my mom (proprietorship) and me and dad are employees

2. Included first page of ITR for last 3 years for me , my mom , my father..

3. Company registration documents? Yes , submitted

4. Did you draw up a list of expected payments + expenditures for the next 2-3 months to prove that you have the funds to pay for your visit?

No , i missed out on this. .

5. Did you include personal bank statements for each applicant?

Yes but not strong balances here also ...

6. Did you include evidence of your business association with the Canadian company?

Yes, the invitation invited all 3 of uz and mentions about thr goods we are buying and specifies we need to inspect the goods

7. Does the purchase from the Canadian company require all three of you to visit Canada?

Yes we mentioned sincr it is first time we are entering Canada market and Canada is huge so we see a lot of prospect in future so meeting the supplier for first time is good for future deals...

Also I am Can+ whereas mom and dad are not ....

1: The company is owned by my mom (proprietorship) and me and dad are employees
For you and your dad: Hope you have included appointment/employment letters issued by the company + 3-4 months salary slips + 6 months bank statements to confirm that you earn a salary every month

Yes, the invitation invited all 3 of uz and mentions about thr goods we are buying and specifies we need to inspect the goods
Although the invitation letter invited all of you, you/your dad/your mom should have proved that it is necessary for all three of you to travel together. For example, should all three of you visit Canada to purchase/inspect the goods or only the person responsible for purchase? Or will all three of you receive training for the goods which you will purchase?

If all three applicants should visit = The company funds should be adequate to pay for all three..... And, also this situation = Weaker family ties to India

In addition to this, you should have included evidence of correspondence + business interactions with the Canadian company + company website/profiles

Yes we mentioned sincr it is first time we are entering Canada market and Canada is huge so we see a lot of prospect in future so meeting the supplier for first time is good for future deals
I would have avoided making this statement. With all three of you as applicants, it would incorrectly imply that you are moving to Canada + likely to enter the Canadian labour market.

You should also have included:
1. Copies of provisional hotel bookings

2. A day-by-day itinerary of why you need precisely XX days to visit

3. 2-3 months company credit card statements with spending limits

4. Customer list with contact information (your mom's company) + Profit-Loss statement/Audit report + any loans for equipment/vehicles + office rent agreement and 2-3 months rent receipts + Professional Tax certificate (if applicable to your mom's company) + evidence of employing other employees + a few purchase orders/work contracts (recently completed + expected orders)

5. Payments expected + Expenditure (with evidence) for the next 2-3 months

6. An explanation: Who will manage the company temporarily in the absence of all three of you

7. Evidence of personal financial investments (FDs, RDs, mutual funds, foreign currency with purchase receipts issued by a RBI licensed Forex dealer, shares/stocks), etc

8. Property valuation (either self-valuation or by a CA) + excerpts from realty reports to back the indicative current market rates

9. Travel History explanation: Visa details + entry/exit dates + purpose of each visit

Even though you applied under the CAN+ program, you must still provide evidence of your ties to India. For CAN+, you can submit fewer financial documents

Hi Bryanna,

I did mention that my wife would take care of the company on our temporary absence ...

I did submit copies of my front side of credit cards but did not submit statements ...

Also submitted property papers of home and office both of which are owned by my father and mother respectively...

I did mention why we need 10 days to stay there though did not show any provisional bookings ..

Also supplier clearly stated on letter that all expenses will be borne by our company in India .

Forgot to attach profit / loss statements as i never used them for any of my previous visa applications ....

Considering the scenario, what would you predict as a result and by when should we hear it ?

It's not possible to guess the chances of a TRV approval. As your wife is not accompanying you, your chances are better (if your financials + employment + ties to India have been presented well). On the other hand, three applicants of the same family traveling together for business/work may not work favourably. But who knows, you might get lucky.

As you have applied under CAN+ and your parents submitted paper apps, you could get decisions next week or the week after

Hope for the best :)
