I am a Honduran citizen looking to attend some seminars in Winnipeg in the near future. Can anyone help me with the process needed to obtain a business visitor visa? I am having trouble with the letter of invitation part as I do not know anyone in Canada and only want to travel for a week or so to attend some classes for my business in Honduras. Is it easier to get a regular visitor visa? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I cannot provide information whether a Honduran citizen is better off applying for a business visa rather than a TRV.
I assume that you know the application is the same either way, there is not a separate route for business visas?

I would contact the local Canadian consulate to check if attending courses in the way you describe is permitted on a business visa.
If you need a letter of invitation, then request it from the company or companies running the course(s) that you want to attend.
Normally the letter would be provided by a business partner or a company that has sold goods or services to your company.

To be honest, there are so many online courses (certainly computer related) there is little reason to visit Canada for the sole purpose of attending a course.
Maybe a simple visit is a better choice.
