Hi Guys,

I am not residing in Canada but would like to say something and i might be wrong so dont take my words as an expert advise.
To start a business it realy depends how much your budget is how much you want to spend. In countries like canada there are Gas Stations which is a good investment as if you buy its you get a good return on it but it involves heavy investment. For some who has a low budget and is really new in the business i suggest to start with import export thing. Things are very cheap in India, Pakistan and China if you get some good stuff from these countries you can sale it in Canada for a good profit as i have seen people doing this in Australia and other countries.
The main thing you need to know is what type of market it is and where you want to enter. I will give you an example, one guy order sun glasses from China very cheap hardly cost him $2 and then he sells it for $25 ofcousre there are other costs involve but to start its a good business. The other way is that your can get in a business with some local retailer and become a supplier, order stuff from cheap countries and supply it to local retailers. These ideas are just for someone to start with a small investment.

Its just what i have seen and what i think. Everyone has its own opinion.

Cheers
Saki

folks,

i do agree with saki,

indians are into mostly mom and pop shops -also most of indians i heard are doing grocery biz, spices, indian garments, restaurants, even mechanics, wine shops, petrol pumps.....but you need to chk out the local laws to run a biz and filing of returns etc etc....

Another option I suggest is buying Franchise. There are tons of options for it and can suit your budget too. However, I would suggest doing good invenstment to get good returns. And hardwork is most essential ingredient to the receipe.

You can google "Canada Franchise" and websites like http://www.cfa.ca/ are very helpful.

All the best.

Why not try looking at Canadian Business's for sale. Google to find the websites etc.

Doing your own research, knowing what your level of skill is and what you would succeed in, is something no one else can advise you about.

Then research what laws there are regarding a foreign national buying a Canadian business.

Google is your best friend for the kind of information you require.

A franchise would be a good idea. I've read somewhere that most franchises are doing good in Canada.

Hi,

At 9459

Many business are required different types of license and funds. No one can give you the specific answer without knowing what business you need to start. If you need to do the business in Canada you must meet the all requirements for particular business. You can start small business to big commercial what ever you like.
I have highlighted little things in the following post, may you need to have feasibility study before you can start business. Professional business consultant can help in this regards. You can start your own business from 10k to 10m if you fulfill the requirement.
