Hello everyone,

This is my first post on this forum.

I was wondering if anyone has applied for a TRV at the Buffalo Office in the last 2 months? I'm interested in the processing times at the Buffalo Office for applications made in Nov-Dec. There was a similar thread for applications around June-July, but I couldnt find one for applications made around Nov-Dec.

I have applied for a TRV (application reached Buffalo yesterday) and I think I might have been too late. I have to fly out on 14th Jan 2012 and I would also lose time due to holidays for Christmas and New Years Eve.

How slim would you guys say my chances are? Other applicants around this time, feel free to share your timelines...

Thanks!

Great news! That's a processing time of ~19 days! Definitely better compared to June-August times...

Thanks for the feedback!

Thanks!
US Visa offices takes 30 days in general to process a TRV for an application received by mail from Canada. Also note, that certain countries in the world too have a mandatory hold for additional 10 days to process the application as well. http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/buffalo/visas/processing-traitement.aspx?view=d There were times I heard from my colleagues that they have received their TRV in two weeks and also some of them received the visa for 5 years. I have no clue how they have determined to issue a visa for that long for a foreign worker who's renewing an employment contract for a year! :) I have been applying through Seattle and they never issued a visa not even a day longer than what I have on the work permit!
