just got an email from cic a while ago..around 8pm in our time..
we have to redo our medical..i'll consider this as good news for at least i know that an officer has been assigned for my case..thankful that remed only and no other additional documents required..

I'm thinking same thing after 20 months of waiting, CIC looked at my file.
Got an email from CPP-O 2 days ago about my children's re-medical who are in my home country. Me my wife & my two children that are here in Canada were not asked re-medical. Yesterday i got another email for my updated background history since June 2011 when they received my file and transcript of record from my daughter who is 25 y.o. Last thing they asked is to pay the Rights to Permanent Residence Fee.
i hope they don't ask anymore, Like Police clearance which may take maybe a month to get.

If you were not working, provide information on what you were doing (ie. Unemployed, studying, traveling, etc). Please include city/town or country and the name of the institution/company.

Is this a form that we to fill up from their site or this is just a Certificate of Employment from my company?
Hope somebody can help me w/ this.

Yes this is the same form which we sent them when we applied for PR ... one from CIC site under PR application Package... btw did they ask u for med redo... or recent employment letter etc.

That's what i was thinking the background information, maybe i will also attach an employment letter. I applied w/ employer driven stream maybe thats why they are asking for my updated personal history or employment letter.
No i was not asked to re-do medical but they did asked my children who are in my home country. they also asked me to pay RPRF.

that's a lot additional documents dude.. i hope they wont sent me those..yeah,police clearence did took a couple of days or maybe a month to get.. ???
my wife and my son is also in my home country, the 3 of us including me were requested to take medical examination again.. i hope they wont ask any other additional doc like police clearence coz i know that it will cause delays again for i am so sick of this long wait.. i will wait until tomorrow if CIC will sent me another email just like yours..
but anyhow i'm so glad that even if i've received request for remed, i'll consider this as a good sign.. apparently, PPR is just a few days or a month away.. *finger crossed

Also, my ECAS finally re-appeared yesterday after being down for almost 2 weeks, it now shows up as "Decision Made". Before that it was "Application Received" and had been for over 1 year(!).

I'll post updates as things (hopefully!) continue to move forward. Thanks again to everyone here on the forum for all of the support and here's hoping for a quick completion of ALL of our applications!

You might get a re-med request and other documents request........ Don't be tense.

Does anyone know if this means my file has reached its final stage?
CPP are living up to their promise of reviewing pre-Sep 2011 applicants before end Feb.

Thanks for your advice, I did my medical 28th feb, 2012. I never go out of Canada since 2007. I dont know whats happening in my file.Very very tensed.

@MyCat, I have some question for you .When did you received your email? Did your Ecas working good? Because my ecas has changed my status before it shows application received and medical received but now only shows application received. should i receive any email today? I dont know.
