BUFFALO APPLICANTS - File transferred to other VO due to Buffalo closing down

There is a manifestation in Ottawa on the 29th of Jan. It is for people that have delays in their PR application.
There is a question and answer in this regard in the house; and people want to show that there are lots of them.

They are also asking for compensation, and want to reduce the wait after PR from 2 years to 1 year. If any of you interested, take a look at :

• Nomination ou changement de représentant d'immigration ou d’une personne désignée;
• La décision de retirer votre demande.

Vous avez la possibilité de retirer votre demande à n’importe quel moment durant le processus. Les Frais des Droits de Résidence Permanente (FDRP) vous seront remboursés si vous les avez déjà payé.

So no news for us still 'application received June 2011' we applies for our gcms notes and received them and they are more of an insult than anything just saying that noone has touch our file since we did our medical a in October 2011!
Anyway I haven't looked for ages on our ecas and it has changed to two addresses now. Did that mean something I once read or was that just a hope?!?

Same thing for me, nobody touched my file after my medical in August 2011, they only extended the medicals in Nov 2012. The 2 addresses is normal, I have been waiting for 24 month, I hope February will bring good news if the office keeps its word

What i don't understand is how can a new file finish in 9 month, yet us who have been waiting for 24 month, have 2 wait even longer, r we second class citizens. From my part I followed the process and gave them all the requirements and always stayed honest, wish they would do the same everything would be much more transparent.

Hello Na1234, How did you get the automated response regarding the timeline? I sent them emails and there was an auto reply with nothing to do with the timeframe. Which email address did you send to?

Hello Sharuu,

My name is Singh, I am on closed Work Permit in Canada and have applied for PR under FSW with Arranged Employment in May, 2011 at Buffalo, USA.

I got married an year ago and applied for Visitor VISA and Open Work Permit (based on my WP) for my wife, both of which were denied.

My queries are:
1.) Do I try applying for Visitor VISA again ? FYI- My wife didn't have a job in India then, but has one now.
OR
2.) Do I find a prospective employer in Canada and go for the LMO-WP option ?

Which option could be more successful ? Please advise.

We are going to Ottawa on the 29 to protest against this long delay in processing our applications. Our applications are sitting in a box somewhere in Ottawa untouched after 6 months! I have had enough. How about you? Are you guys going to join us?
