Weird thing on my end:
Submitted FSW "full" package to Buffalo on June 10, 2010, with the transcript in a sealed envelope inside the envelope containing all the other documentation. A month later I recieve a letter from Buffalo with my transcript not in the sealed envelope anymore and a stamp on top showing me that they recieved at least that part of the package on the 10th of June 2010. They also scribbled the AOR_1 Number from the Sydney letter next to their stamp plus the Note: A87.
However the letter they sent along states with the transcript states:
"This refers to the documents our office recieved regarding your application for permanent residence in Canada.
The CIO in Sydney requested that you submit your "full" application for permanent residence to our visa office within 120 days from the date of the letter. Please refer to their letter for complete instructions.
Our office will not accept any additional docs until a new Buffalo file No. is assigned to your file. Although your application may have been recieved, due to the Volume of mail our office receives daily, it is difficult to match these documents to your file. When your application is reviewed and accepted a new file No will be assigned. Once you recieve this file No. you may resubmit these documents.
All of your documents are being returned to you in this package. We have not retained a record of these docs in this Office."
So now what the heck:
1. Apparently they recieved at least the sealed envelope. Well if they opened that, they would have had to open the surrounding envelope with all the other application related documents in them... so why cant they attach that to the rest of the application package? Or are there two people next to each other helping themselves to open envelopes???? Has that happened to anybody here before?
2. They also managed to scribble the AOR_1 No on top of my transcript which makes me think they had the Sydney Office Letter with that number in their hands as well, otherwise I would have thought that DHL managed to loose the outer envelope with all the application forms in it and only the transcript envelope made it to the Consulate...
3. Any idea what the A87 could mean? Little short for an internal file No.?!?
4. Any recommendations as to resent the application package?
Thanks for any insights!
