Hi Bryanna,thanks for previous advice.
I have returned after a short visit of two weeks from USA and canada.now I want to apply for my wife and kid for canada only.i was checking online and the documents cic says to deposit are only travel history, application forms ,passport and photo(In the last 10 years, have you legally travelled to Canada? This includes any family member you may be travelling with at this time) do these only documents are suffient or we have to send all documents??(financial and ITR etc).
Is it advisable to apply right now or you suggest to wait for some time.
If we plan to visit for new year and Christmas , can we apply now!!!!!
Or the best time and documents to apply ???

Hi,

I suggest your wife and child must prove their individual strong ties. Any additional documents/evidence won't harm the application, instead of applying with just the documents suggested by IRCC.

You can apply up to 6 months in advance. It may be best if your wife and child apply In September-October and schedule the visit around the Christmas/New Year holidays when work slows down considerably.

You can post the list of documents for each of them so that it will be easier to advise

Cheers

For her employment:
Leave approval letter + appointment letter + 4-6 months salary slips/salary statement + 6 months bank statement to which the salary is credited + any work-related commitments scheduled after the New Year to which she must return to + 2-3 years ITRs

Finances:
Nothing borrowed. Do maintain/exceed the current balance until she applies i.e. don't withdraw from the account (if possible).

Is it a joint bank account with you?

Does she have any other investments, such as FDs, RDs, mutual funds, shares/stocks, EPF, PPF, LIC? If yes, are the FDs joint/sole ownership?

Property:
She cannot show any property ties unless she has a Power of Attorney.... but even a POA won't work as she will be traveling with you.

Travel:
Does she have a valid US visa? Or traveled to the US in the last 10 years?

When did she visit Ireland? Was she issued the Ireland tourist visa because she had a UK visa?

Other ties:
Does she hold any position in the Lions Club committee?

Does she have any other ties such as dependent family (take care of your parents or financially support her parents/siblings)?

Any other personal event for which she must return by a specific date? Post-New Year.

For your son:
Child--studying in 4th class(9 years old),UK born(Indian Citizen).
School leave approval letter stating he is a bona fide student + school tuition fee receipt including for the semester after the winter holidays + school report card + school website pages which state dates for the scheduled final exams

You can include a Letter of Financial Support signed by yourself + your bank statements + your ITR + any other financial investments (not locked). The available funds must be sufficient to pay for the visit of yourself, your wife and your son (all expenses, including airfare, hotel, travel, etc).

As she does not have a Canadian host, she must prepare a detailed day-by-day itinerary with expense estimates. Keep the visit to 2 weeks max. focused around why Canada and not another country (the UK, for example)

She must also prove 1-2 reasons why she must return home by a specific date
