British council current re-evaluation time

Hi,
I have a near perfect CLB 10 score with the exception of writing where I have got 7. I am considering re-evaluation as my score with CLB 9 will be quite low due to age factor.
However, the long processing times for re-evaluation are scaring me as you can't use those scores during that time. I don't want to sit helplessly without a valid EE profile for over 2 months.
Can people here who have undertaken re-evaluation recently (in 2018) with British Council provide their timelines ?

Was it British council or IDP. Was there any change in the grading ?

I submitted for EOR with BC 6 weeks ago, still awaiting results. They told me that it takes 8-10 weeks.

it was BC and the results didn't change.
