I am a British Citizen and also a Citizen of Trinidad and Tobago. I live in Trinidad. Recently married a Canadian citizen and have submitted my application for permanent residence. I can travel to Canada as a visitor without a visa due to my British citizenship. My question is, how long will I be allowed to stay and do I have to show a return ticket?
Second question - can visiting children (age 11) go to school in Canada?

Visitors should have a return ticket. Very few airlines will sell you a one-way ticket to a country you are not resident in anyways. The usual length of stay is 6 months for visitors, unless the border official gives you a shorter visitor record.

Yes, but you will have to pay for it at international student rates, and obtain a study permit for the child first.
